About Me

Hello ! My full name is The Phuong Dao. I am currently a staff bioinformatician at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Before coming to MSKCC, I have been a research fellow at National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) and working in Algorithmic Methods and Systems Biology group led by Dr. Teresa Prytycka. I did my graduate study in Beautiful British Columbia under Dr. Cenk Sahinalp and Dr. Martin Ester's supervision. Once upon a time, I enjoy my undergraduate study and ice skating on the Rideau Canal in Ottawa.

During grad school, I have been a research assistant at Vancouver Prostate Center. My PhD study was supported by NSERC Alexander Graham Bell Canada Graduate Scholarship (CGS-D), PIMS International Graduate Training Centre in Mathematical Biology Fellowship and Bioinformatics for Combating Infectious Disease (BCID) Project. I was fortunate to work on network motif counting for my Master's thesis and obtained Erdos number 2.
